I'm Not Here to Replace You — I'm the Resource Your Patients Needed Before They Got to You

I want to talk to you directly. Not through the usual careful language people use when two worlds that don't normally speak try to find common ground. Directly.

I am a medium instructor. I have been teaching people to understand their perceptual gifts for over 20 years. I work with people who hear things, see things, feel things — experiences that do not fit neatly into the frameworks most of the world uses to understand human perception.

Some of those people were your patients before they found me. Some of them are still your patients right now. And some of them have been in the mental health system for years — genuinely trying, genuinely suffering — without getting the one thing that would change everything for them.

A framework that actually fits what they are living.

I am not here to tell you that you got it wrong. I am here to tell you that you were never given the complete picture. And that is not the same thing.

What You Were Never Trained to See

Mental health training is extraordinary at what it does. It gives you the tools to identify suffering, name it, and help people move through it. That matters. That work saves lives.

But there is one category of human experience that falls outside everything you were trained to see. Not because it is rare — it is not rare. Because it was never included in the curriculum.

Genuine perceptual gifts. Clairaudience. Clairvoyance. Clairsentience. The ability to receive information through channels that most people do not have access to.

When a person with these abilities walks into your office without a framework for what they experience, they present with symptoms. Real symptoms. Real suffering. And the tools you have address the suffering but not the source — because the source is not pathological. It is perceptual.

That distinction is everything. And nobody taught it to you. So the patients who needed it most kept cycling through assessments and diagnoses and treatment plans that helped a little — but never quite resolved the core of what they were living.

Your patient was not misdiagnosed because you failed. They were misdiagnosed because nobody gave you this information yet. I am giving it to you now.

What I Actually Do

I teach people to understand their gift. Not to believe in it — to understand it. There is a difference.

I show them what triggers their experiences. I show them why the experiences follow patterns. I show them the difference between a flash of perceptual information and the kind of intrusive, commanding experience that signals something that genuinely needs clinical intervention.

I give them language for what they are living. And that language — that framework — changes their relationship to the experience completely. Not because the experience goes away. Because they stop being afraid of it.

The patients who come to me after years in the mental health system say the same thing in different words. They say: I always knew something was missing. I could not name it. But I knew.

What was missing was not more therapy. It was someone who could explain the part of their experience that therapy was never designed to address.

The Patients I Am Talking About

Not every patient who hears voices or sees things has a perceptual gift. I want to be completely clear about that.

Some people have genuine psychiatric conditions that require clinical treatment. That treatment matters. It is not optional. And I would never suggest otherwise.

But there is a specific profile — one you have probably seen — where something does not add up. The person is highly self-aware. Their experiences follow patterns. The content is informational rather than commanding. They show none of the deterioration typically associated with untreated psychotic disorders. They have been in treatment for a significant period without the expected level of resolution.

That person is not better served by more of the same. They are better served by adding the second rail — the perceptual framework — alongside the clinical support they are already receiving.

Both rails matter. Running on only one is what keeps them stuck.

Why I Am Telling You This Now

I am part of the Yale Program for Spirituality, Mental Health, and the Brain conversation — the intersection I have been standing at for 20 years.

A round table — the one between medicine and perception — is entering the mainstream. Researchers at Yale, the Rhine Research Center, and the Institute of Noetic Sciences have been building the evidence base for years. The field is moving.

But your patients cannot wait for the field to fully catch up. They are in your office right now. They are describing experiences that your training left you without tools to address. And they have been waiting — some of them for a very long time — for someone to finally tell them the truth about what they are living.

You can be that person. Not by becoming an expert in something outside your field. By knowing that the resource exists and knowing when to use it.

What I Am Offering You

I created a free 20-minute professional training called Orders or Information? A Professional's Guide to Recognizing Perceptual Gifts vs. Mental Disorders.

It is built specifically for therapists, psychiatrists, and counselors. It gives you a clinical lens for a category of experience your training did not cover. It does not ask you to abandon your framework — it asks you to expand it by exactly the amount the evidence supports.

It is 20 minutes. It is free. And it will give you something concrete to do for the patients you have been trying to help and not quite reaching.

I am not here to replace you. I am here because the people who most need what I offer usually find you first. And when you know I exist, they do not have to choose between two kinds of help that were never meant to be in conflict.

They get both. And that is when the real change happens.
